This site was launched in the late fall of 2018 to replace our old website. Although our old website was well used over the years, it was very much in need of an update. I hope you find this site to be friendly and helpful. Please feel free to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions or concerns you may have about the website.
My name is Sherryll Murphy and I have recently been appointed to the position of Lay Director for the Anglican Cursillo Movement in the Diocese of Nova Scotia and PEI. I am humbled and honoured to have been called to this ministry. I began my Cursillo walk in May of 2010 when I attended the 32nd Cursillo Weekend at St. James Church in Kentville where I sat at the table of St. Carmen. I have participated in the Movement since my weekend and have had the joy of a growing faith and commitment to the Cursillo method.
Cursillo is a community of faith based in Jesus – not a specific religious denomination or doctrine. It is not a new method, but simply a way to focus our faith development. And it works. Beginning with a weekend of better understanding of faith during which a series of talks by lay and ordained people help us to move toward this better understanding, the method can and is lived out each day by Cursillistas around the world. Can you image a worldwide network of people of faith carrying out the Lord’s work – well that is Cursillo.
I have a great deal to learn in my new role and will need the help of my Cursillo community to achieve what God is calling the movement to be over the next three years. I am committed to learning and I am confident that your help will be on hand. Please hold our movement in prayer as each of us strives to do God’s work in our communities.
